There are always risks of contracting any form of sexually transmitted diseases when you have multiple sexual relationships, particularly when you and your partner are in a swinging relationship. It is therefore, very important for you and your partner to prevent this from happen.

The best and easiest preventive is the use of condoms during sex. Male latex condoms can reduce the risk from contracting STD's if used correctly. A good practice is to use them every time when you have sex whether it is vaginal, anal or oral sex. |
Female condoms are also available, but are not effective as male condoms. If a male sex partner refuses to use a condom during sexually activities women can op for the use of female condoms or simply refusing to have sexual contact if that is the case.
Although, the use of condom and reduce the risk of contracting STD's, it is not 100% safe and cannot protect you from coming in contact with some sores, such as those that are present with herpes, or warts, which can occur with HPV infections.
