Once diagnosed that you have the gonorrhea bacteria, your healthcare provider or GP will usually prescribe a single dose of one of the following antibiotics for treatment:

- Cefixime
- Ceftriaxone
- Ciprofloxacin
- Ofloxacin
- Levofloxacin
|
Ciprofloxacin or ofloxacin forms of antibiotic are not suitable for pregnant women or individuals under the age of 18 years old.
If you have gonorrhea, all of your sexual partners should get tested and then properly treated if infected, whether or not they show any symptoms.
